ALTERS and EN-TRANCES
When the architects of the emerging Celtic Christian era began a construction boom across Europe, they chose to erect their new sites of veneration on top of druid, even Neolithic sacred sites.

Far from a simple superimposition of a new religion over a vanquished faith, the builders–many of whom shared roots in the ancient Egyptian Mysteries Schools–chose this siting deliberately, to harness the subtle energies that had accumulated at the original sites. The clues remain evident in the language of the new buildings, as they now came equipped with 'alters' (sic) and en-trances.

So, who or what exactly were they altering and entrancing?

During the quest to understand the hidden technology of sacred sites, dowsers and subtle energy researchers find concentrations of electromagnetism (EM) at the temples' original entrances. These seem to upwell from the earth in spiral form, suggesting that the doorway to the temple acts as a preparation area as it charges the human EM system.

Spiral motion of energy interacts with the human body to an extraordinary degree. Blood requires a spinning motion to move it through the veins and arteries. As it does so an EM charge is generated in the water molecules which then influences the iron contained in the blood. This would be enough to generate a subtle magnetic field in the human body. Furthermore, anyone interacting with a weak magnetic field starts to feel changes in their state of awareness, since the spin motion of energy also stimulates and vibrates the pineal gland.

So, as you prepare to enter a sacred site, your body is being awakened, conditioned to accept more penetrating forms of energy. And since the subtle energy properties of a temple suggest it is also a living organism, the site reads a pilgrim's electrical field like a credit card. If there is sympathetic resonance between the person and the site, then an immediate bond takes place between both organisms.

A very good example of a temple entrance energizing the body's neurological system is the colonnade of reeds at Saqqara. Each 'reed' and 'pool' (the pillars and spaces) contains an alternating electrical charge that has a corresponding effect on the body's alternating current. Walking down the hall you are sensitized, in preparation for entering the courtyard and its tiered pyramid.

Although Europeans brought Catholicism to the United States, they did not transfer across the Atlantic the traditional understanding of siting churches on energetic hotspots. And so, by and large, every church in America does not conform to the purposes set by pagan temple-alignment. However, there are rare exceptions. The original walls of the oldest Spanish mission in Los Angeles are located in accordance to the underlying EM forces of the local landscape, and as a result, a few feet before what used to be the original entrance, a vortex of energy is still detectable in what is now a shady garden. The same is true of the old mission in Santa Fe, which was built over a Navajo ceremonial site.

The story is pretty much the same at earlier sites, such as Native American mounds and other ancient sacred spaces throughout the continent.

Back in the Europe, dowsing maps of Gothic cathedrals such as the one at Salisbury, England, reveal how the positioning of walls, columns, and of course the entrances, all take into account the invisible energies that permeated the local landscape. Even more impressive is how the architects sited the thousands of tons of stone in this imposing structure on marshland, which at the time was barely a few feet above water.

Indeed, the blueprints of Salisbury–as well as other gothic structures–reveal a spiritual technology at work, for every element of the church seems to vector and focus EM energies and water veins, which are already charged due to the EM energy at the site. The focus points of this energy are specifically poignant beneath the imposing spire (a word derived from 'spiral'), and from there they reconvene at the altar.

Up until 100 years ago, altars were actually spelled 'alters' , providing an obvious clue to their purpose: that they are located at hotspots where the human body and its EM energy field are indeed altered. The altars in chuches built prior to the 17th century predominantly occupy the most energetic spot on the local landscape, which throughout earlier history had also been the 'alter' of the ancients. Since these spots are concentrations of both water (itself an EM conductor) and magnetic paths of earth energy, and are often anchored by a spiral motion, suggests the purpose was literally to concentrate such properties so as to have a profound effect on the body and its state of awareness.

When our ancestors chose to simply erect colossal temples of stone around the world, to mark their 'temple', they chose specific combinations of rocks, some of which were carried from hundreds of miles away. Clearly the type of rock was important in achieving a certain effect at sacred sites. The same is true of the type of rock used for the foundations of the alters. Around Europe, the temple and cathedral builders often used red granite, a rock that is by-and-large not native to most areas; in Britain it is only available in the Scottish highlands and islands, a journey of some 400 miles across undulating, even adverse terrain, to their resting locations in southern England; at Stonehenge, the greenstone used for the altar traveled 180 miles from Cornwall. Clearly there was a strong sense of purpose behind such extreme attention to detail.

Red granite is a very powerful rock, composed as it is of high amounts of quartz, which can be programmed. The type of quartz found in the bluestones of Stonehenge, for example, was used in early radio sets. Secondly, this rock contains a high amount of iron. Iron is found in blood, which is why a punctured vein exudes red blood– the iron rusts upon contact with oxygen. But there's more. Our bodies are also crystalline, with each bone containing amounts of silica. Since the altar stone is subject to the forces of water, spin and EM, it acts like an electrical capacitor, amplifying the underlying forces at work. Therefore, standing on an altar, on top of red granite, is to be in an environment which has a sympathetic effect upon the body's electrical system as well as it's state of awareness.
