c. 3000 BC. This lunar temple had each stone arranged to mark all the motions and numerical values of the moon. It's surrounding chalk embankment retains the waters that bubble up from sacred springs beneath the site.

c. 3000 BC. The largest stone circle in the world, once composed of over 400 megaliths marking three circles and two avenues. The stone avenue follows the path of a line of magnetic force, one of two that entwine at this site.

St. Michael's, perhaps the most remote church in the British Isles, was built c.1155 AD. It sits on precariously on a volcanic outcrop high above windswept Dartmoor. A magnetic energy line flows through the nave of this powerful site.

Appropriately named 'Grand Mother Rock', this 60-ft limestone monolith marks the entrance to the Kura Tawhiti site. The image of a woman sitting on her throne is clearly visible. The guardian of a portal into another reality, she marks the magnetic spot that protects the site.

A vast landscape temple once used for teaching ancient mysteries by the Waitaha, a mystical race of gods. Also called Castle Hill, it was named a "Spiritual Center of the Universe" by the Dalai Lama.

Approaching this enigmatic structure, up a mountain, bordered by hills, waterfall in the background, overlooking a lake, is to feel very close to nirvana.

The quintessential quoit or dolmen. Like others of its kind it marks a node of the Earth's magnetic pathways, and thus has been a place of veneration for 5000 years. This one has a perfect hole on top which was used as an astronomical marker.

An evocative chambered quoit, and one of many sacred sites throughout Wales associated with the legend of Arthur and the Holy Grail. It marks the crossing point of two masculine energy lines.

The site is no stranger to strange lights and apparitions from the world of faeries and gobblins, just as with similar sites of the celtic world. Young children tend to see these light beings in a nearby ancient oak tree.

Although the castle is 13th Century, its ruins sit atop a Neolithic henge, possibly 3000 BC. On the side of the hill is Nant yr Ellyllon, the 'hollow of the goblins'. The site is also associated with faery sightings and the legends of King Arthur.

Like most other giant's graves that dot this part of the world, this 5000-year old power point marks the resting place of 12-ft tall people, part of a now lost race of priests and gods. In the carefully chosen stones you can still see the face of a person.

The last major crop glyph to appear in southern Britain. It is encoded with numerical and geometric values corresponding to the Earth and the functions of energy movement in the solar system. Unusual in that the crop was not flattened but brushed over at 19.5 degrees.

c. 2600 BC. Originally an 11-stone circle, and a wonderful example of a temple sensitively integrated with its surrounding landscape. Some stones are angled to receive and ground the light of the moon at strategic times of the year.

Appeared in the area from where the sarcen stones for Stonehenge were sourced. This equiangular spiral represents the perfect balance of masculine and feminine polarities that form the whole. The design was spiralled from the outside in.

Manifested below Hakpen Hill, meaning 'head of the serpent', below a neolithic site that is part of several in southern Britain marking the mirror image of the constellation of Draco, the cosmic serpent. It is a nine-fold geometrical alignment of spirals, indicating perfection.

An important complex incorporating a five-stone circle, a cairn, and a stone row. Together with sites in Arran and Avebury it completes a perfect equilateral triangle over the British Isles. Covering 1200 miles, it represents an incredible feat of ancient surveying.

This sacred hill has been a place of pilgrimage for thousands of years, even when it was surrounded by an inland sea. Two of its most illustrious pilgrims were Jesus, and Joseph of Aramathea. It is aligned with dozens of other sites to the rising sun on Beltane.

A true landscape temple sacred to the Navajo, and earlier, the Anasazi. The holy places are well protected, yet even a short distance away from the petroglyphs marking their altars, a feeling of ascention into another world is unmistakable.

The alignment of such sites spanning entire regions, especially when triangulated, formed an energy protection barrier. There is a disproportionate number of ancient sites in the British isles, and the effort in sourcing specific stones reinforces the notion of a large-scale plan.

Despite this being a magnificent example of a Gothic cathedral, it is always the playful gargoyles lining its parapet who steal the show. This version of Pan, the fertily god of nature, stands in proud comtemplation of a modern pyramid, the Eiffel Tower.

It takes an enterprising soul to climb 140-ft up limestone cliffs to this remote Kiva, but the effort is rewarded with a place of peace amid a serene river valley. The spirit of place is emphasized by two magnetic lines that cross at the entrance.

A calm sunrise is rare in Stonehenge. But when it occurs it bathes the 60-ton sarcens in the most flattering light. Sunrise is when the light frequency from the Sun is at its most powerful, and being in this place at such a time is to feel the stones breathe with life.

To enter Stonehenge is to enter the Holy Grail, the chalice of wisdom. This cup is a horseshoe of stones that concentrates the influx of light, specifically at midsummer sunrise. At this time, light is at its highest and most potent in the northern hemisphere.

Stonehenge has been a temple since 8000 BC. First as a series of earthen mounds, then as a lunar temple, for which the smaller bluestones were moved from Wales, 200 miles away. As with most temples it grew in later years to accomodate the change to solar veneration.

The strangest thing about Stonehenge is the way the stones suddenly creep up on you and reveal their true size only when you are close, an affect that tourists don't experience. The guards here also experience life-changing phenomena during the course of their stewardship.

Even the ruins of this 12th Century Cistercian abbey evoke a place of peace, its soaring columns and arches welcoming the light, complementing the Charter of Love to which these monks devoted themselves. It once inspired poems by Wordsworth and Tennyson.

One of the most beautiful temples, both in its construction and elven location. Erected c2600 BC, it is used today as a place of fertily as well as honouring the earth spirit during the celtic feast of Lammas.

The NE alignment of Trellech suggests a site older than 3000 BC. The conglomerate stones are deliberately set at strategic angles, one of them being 19.5, the angle of energy manifestation. It is aligned with Skirrid or "Holy Mountain" on winter solstice.
